Today Nacon released a new video of the co-op action-adventure game Gangs of Sherwood, focusing on the "bombastic" combat gameplay.
The video features game designer Sven Panes Robelo, and since the word "bombastic" is used quite a bit, I'm just going to do the same.
The game is inspired by the legends of Robin Hood themselves and by action games. The developers aimed to make the characters as unique as possible, and this encourages synergies between them.
Each character is based on an archetype. Robin is a long-range damage dealer, while Tuck is a tank. Each has their own abilities and a "super mode" that enhances these abilities.
We also learn that at the end of each mission, you earn reputation and gold. Reputation lets you unlock new items to buy in the equipment stores, while the gold is used to actually buy them.

Gangs of Sherwood will release on October 19, 2023, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

While Gangs of Sherwood features familiar characters from the legends and folklore behind Robin Hood, its setting is a lot more unique, as it's a much more technologically advanced world compared to the middle ages we're used to.
