Today, during the Pokemon Presents presentation, Nintendo shared the latest trailer about the upcoming Detective Pikachu Returns.
The trailer stars our intrepid detective as he sits with the inevitable cup of coffee and introduces what we can expect from the game.
Specifically, we hear more about how investigations will be conducted, with Pikachu's human partner Tim Goodman talking to the people and Pikachu talking to the Pokemon. We also get to see Tim's missing dad Harry, his mom Irene, and his little sister, Sophia.
Alongside Tim and his family, we meet Rachel Myers, who goes to college with our hero, and her father Howard, who is the mayor of the city.
Of course, we also take a look at the many Pokemon that will help out, Growlithe, Darmanitan, and more. On top of them, we get a glimpse of some locations and some of the mysteries that we'll have to solve by putting Tim's and Pikachu's heads together.

Detective Pikachu Returns releases on October 6 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, while pre-orders are available now.

If you're not familiar with the Detective Pikachu series, it started in 2016 with the original Detective Pikachu on Nintendo 3DS. It was then brought to the glory of the silver screen with a well-received movie also titled Detective Pikachu in 2019, directed by Rob Letterman.
