Microsoft has picked another good set of winners for their Games with Gold program.
Xbox's Major Nelson said in a blog post that the next set of free games for Xbox Live Members in August will be Crackdown, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero.
Starting tomorrow, Crackdown (one of my favorites) will be free for Xbox LIVE Gold members through August 15th.
Set in the fictional Pacific City, you control an Agent who is hopped up on genetic enhancements, is going to combat three crime lords and their organized crime syndicates. You improve your abilities by completing tasks and doing other side missions. There are online modes along with 2 player online multiplayer.
The game may be a little dated (2007) but the game will hold true for a solid, free game.
Then on August 16th, you will be able to get both Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero for free.
Dead Rising 2 is a great hack-and slash zombie game where you play Chuck Greene where he tries to get certain missions accomplished with different weapons that he can combine to make even more cooler weapons.
The Xbox 360-exclusive download, Case Zero is a prequel for Dead Rising 2, and is set shortly after Chuck and Katey escape from the Las Vegas zombie outbreak. You play the outbreak from the town of Still Creek, and move on before the military arrives and kills any infected. The player can reach up to level five in Case Zero with the ability to be transferred into the main game.
