There are some big things coming for Motorola, but no one is quite sure what. According to Ad Age, Motorola is rolling out their new campaign for its Moto X smartphone. They also had a new page on their website that introduced the Motorola DROID Ultra to the world.

 Motorola DROID Ultra

The main guess is that this is a Verizon phone, since it has the DROID name. Before the page was redirected it described the phone as having "a bunch of glossy colors" with a DuPont Kevlar body. With a 1.5GHz dual core chip, an 8-megapixel camera and a 960x540 4.3-inch screen, this 'ultra' phone doesn't seem all that ultra. It does sound like a nice mid-range phone. According to sources who talked to The Verge that the DRIOD Ultra is not the Moto X, thank goodness. The Moto X will not be a DROID branded phone, because the DROID moniker is used for Verizon exclusives, which it won't be.

Motorola X

The ad looks to be very Apple-y with making sure to point out that it's "Designed by you. Assembled in the USA."  The curious part is the as is as follows:
"The first smartphone that you can design yourself. Because today you should have the freedom to design the things in your life to be as unique as you are."
A customizable phone, eh? Sounds like it may have a chance.
